簡単に人を信じません。

それでも、
心を預ける相手を選ぶとき——

その目は少しだけ細まり、
どこか挑発的に、
こう言うのです。

「あなたは、ちゃんと守ってくれる？」

私の描く猫たちは、
自分の可愛さも誇りも知っています。

王様のように自由で、
少しあざとく、
そして堂々と生きています。

絵の前に立つあなたは、
その視線に試されます。

選ばれるのは、あなたかもしれない。

作品の売上の一部は保護猫団体へ寄付しています。
絵の猫たちが、現実の猫たちの小さな命に繋がりますように。

I paint “a gaze that chooses to trust you.”

But it is not a weak gaze asking for help.

Cats who have survived the harshness of life on the streets
do not trust humans easily.

And yet—
when they decide to place their heart in someone’s hands,

their eyes narrow ever so slightly,
with a quiet, playful provocation,
as if to ask:

“Will you truly protect me?”

The cats I paint know their own beauty and their pride.

They live freely,
like little kings and queens—
a little mischievous,
a little daring,
and completely confident in who they are.

When you stand before the painting,
it is you who is being examined.

Perhaps you are the one being chosen.

A portion of each sale is donated to cat rescue organizations.
May the cats within these paintings
become a bridge to the small, precious lives of real cats in need.
